Door Measurements

are you looking to replace your door ?, it is always best to have a rough idea of the size you need to be focusing your search on, and if that size is a standard size or a custom unit.
and more!

If you are planning to replace Your doors, DO NOT measure the exisiting door.  You must always base you measurements on the door frame.  There is an old craftsman’s expression, “measure twice, cut once”, so please bear this in mind.

Door width: Take three measurements inside the door frame - at the top. middle and bottom. The widest measurement determines the width of the door.

Door height: Measure the inside of each vertical side of the frame.  The longest length determines the height required. Remember to make allowance for any floor covering.

If you have a non-standard door size requirement, call us, as bespoke sizes can be made to order for some of our door ranges.

Taking some rough measurements to figure out what unit size your home might need is always a good idea when starting out your door purchasing experience.

When it comes to making the purchase of your new door, we strongly recommend that the installer who will be installing the unit, confirms your measurements to ensure a proper fit.
